As part of their promotion of FIFA 12, EA Sports have signed a deal with English Premier League club Manchester City that was described as "unprecedented in both its scale and scope within the computer game industry".[35] The deal will involve content distributed through the digital channels of both the club and EA, including "match simulations" before the actual fixtures and "unique visuals of the City stars in action",[35] as well as a "virtual kit launch" held on 21 July 2011.[36][37] EA will be making available a downloadable Manchester City-themed game cover as well as installing gaming areas around the City of Manchester Stadium.[35] The entire first team squad have had their heads scanned in 360 degrees for more accurate in-game representations.[37]

I didnt find any option to load custom squad inside the game but i may be wrong. After replacing the files check the ratings of tom cleverly of man utd if its 77 then be sure the update is loaded. If you have two, then overwrite both of them just to be safe, so that if the game decides to load a random one for some reason, you still have the current squads. Works for me, and I hope the winter transfer updates get published soon! Thanks man I forgot to overwrite the file.

We have solved a problem that saw FIFA 12 crash when trying to download PNG images (e.g. a team crest) that were over the maximum file size.
Particularly keen Creation Centre users who bookmarked a lot of items to download into their game could find that they were not able to enter the Creation Centre gallery. Now they can.
We have fixed a rare problem where it was possible in specific circumstances to find your Creation Centre team hit the pitch with a man missing.
We have made sure that swapping and changing kit sponsor images on the web will no longer cause any problems on the console.
We have improved the way FIFA 12 handles large numbers of Creation Centre downloads to make sure there's no slow-down in the performance of team-selection screens.
